Making a Privacy Complaint
Since 1 September 2002 the Privacy Commissioner has been able to deal with complaints about acts or practices by Victorian Government agencies and local councils that breach one or more of the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs). A complaint can only be made about a breach that occurred after that date, and should be made within 45 days of you becoming aware of the act or practice.
